Greetings to you from the Brunswick Chamber of Commerce! It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to our unique community called "Brunswick County", our home!

For the past 104 years, the Brunswick Chamber of Commerce has been a central location that provides information and assitance about Brunswick County to individuals, businesses and visitors.  Our Chamber is dedicated to its mission statement, which is, "The Brunswick Chamber of Commerce is an organization of community, business, educational, and civic leaders bonded together through mutual interests in promoting the well-being of Brunswick County as a desirable community in which to live, to rear our families, and conduct our businesses."

Brunswick County has a lot to offer.  It's pleasing old-fashioned rustic charm along with the tranquility of our rural lifestyle has captivated many.  Yes, there are many historical and recreational attractions throughout the county for your enjoyment. For your pleasure, within the 570 square miles of Brunswick County, you have access to four lakes:  the 150 acre Brusnwick Lake, the 215 acre Great Creek, Lake Phoenix, which is a full-service diving destination offering SCUBA diving, swimming, etc., and the 20,000 acre Lake Gaston. There are countless recreational opportunities for adventure in connection with these lakes including fishing, camping, picnicking, boating, scuba, skiing, and kayaking.  County Park at Great Creek is the perfect setting for family reunions, birthday celebrations, picnicking and other fun events.  There are many historic sites in Brunswick County.  At Fort Christanna, history buffs can walk the same ground that the first settlers walked in 1714.  They many also want to take in our Civil War Trails or take a walk or ride along our Tobacco Heritage Walking/Riding Trail or visit our Meherrin River, a State Scenic River, where many rare bird sightings have been made.  Other popular historic sites include the Valentine Post Office, Gholson Bridge and our picturesque southern towns and communities.

Our county is loacted directly on Intrastate 58 and centrally between Interstate 85 and Interstate 95.  This allows quick and easy access to the surrounding major metropolitan areas in Virgina and North Carolina such as Richmond, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Nags Head, Raleigh, Durham and even Washington, D.C. These places, being only hours away, allow the perfect mix of a laid back rural lifestyle and the excitement of big city life occasionally. Thus, you can have the best of both worlds!

Please feel free to stop by our office located in the county seat of Lawrenceville at 400 N. Main Street in Lawrenceville, Virginia.  We look forward to seeing you and assisting you with your visit.
